New Appointment in Bro Padrig (Cemaes Bay and surrounding communities on Anglesey)


The Bishop of Bangor – the Right Reverend Andrew John – is pleased to announce the appointment of the Reverend Tracy Jones as the Ministry Team Leader of the new Bro Padrig Ministry Area.

The Bro Padrig Ministry Area will serve the people and communities around the churches of Llanbadrig & Cemaes Bay, Llanfechell, Bodewryd, Llanfflewin, Llanrhuddlad, Llanfairynghornwy, Llanrhwydrys and Llanfaethlu.

Tracy is presently an Assistant Curate in the Seintiau Braint a Chefni Ministry Area and her last service there will be on Sunday 30 November. She and her family will be moving to live in Cemaes Bay. There will be a special service to celebrate the new Bro Padrig Ministry Area and licence Tracy as the Bro Padrig Ministry Area Team Leader on Sunday 14th December at 3pm in St Padrig’s Church, in the village of Cemaes Bay.

Commenting on her new appointment, Tracy said, ‘I’m really looking forward to getting to know the people of Bro Padrig and working with them to discover God’s call in our lives. Ministry Areas are a new way of working and the task ahead can seem quite frightening, but Jesus tells us not to be afraid. Together we will find new ways to serve and support each other and our communities.’

The Bishop of Bangor said, ‘I am delighted we have been able to appoint the Tracy to the Bro Padrig Ministry Area. She has considerable gifts and will work with the people in these different communities with care and devotion’.
